FAQ’s about Counseling, Therapy, and Psychotherapy with a Black Therapist NJ

You are seeking a therapist that looks like you and can empathize with your life circumstances without judgment, but with sheer understanding.

Here are some FAQ’s about therapy with a black therapist NJ

*The most common question we get is do you accept health insurance?

Sorry, presently we do not accept health insurance, but are in the process to accept some insurances to increase those we can assist.

*What is the cost of therapy sessions?

Each therapy session is $175 for 45 minute individual therapy with 4th and Grove Counseling.  Every therapist has their own rate and you have to just ask prior to scheduling your session.

*What’s your therapy style?

Every therapist has their own style of treatment based on their training, expertise, personality, and patient needs. Our style is eclectic, so we don’t stick with one form of treatment, we tailor it to our patients.  We incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) because it is important to understand how you think, feel, and behave and how you can improve in these areas.  Gaining knowledge of coping skills is a must.   We build up your coping skills first and get straight to work on your treatment goals.

*Do you have evening hours?

Yes, we have evening hours. It is an understanding that everyone’s schedule is different so we accommodate evening hours for patient convenience.
