Support from others (talk to someone: it doesn’t have to be about the problem, it can be as a distraction, someone to listen, some feedback, etc. This should be someone you trust.)
Deep Breathing Exercises help the body physically relax, can relax the mind, and serve as a distraction from unhealthy thinking.
Mindfulness like visualization, guided imagery, or guided meditation can be helpful from grounding, distracting negative thoughts, take you mentally somewhere safe, and relaxes your mind and body.
Exercise does not have to be strenuous and or a burden. You can take the stairs, take a 10 min or longer walk, go to the gym, or work out at home.
Eat healthier like incorporating organic vegetables and fruits into your diet because they have naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and energy in your diet to help improve your mood. Some people may be deficient in vitamins that can cause symptoms similar to those of depression. Eating healthier can be an alternative to improving your mood. Remember we are a WHOLE system and our minds and bodies are connected.
