Best Practices for Online Video Counseling

Last month, I was featured in Authority Magazine in an interview about telehealth best practices and patient care. Authority Magazine, a Medium publication, shares interesting “thought leadership interview series” featuring people who are authorities in Business, Pop Culture, Wellness, Social Impact, and Tech. They use interviews to draw out stories that are both empowering and actionable.

The article is titled, Telehealth Best Practices: Rosana Lamontagne On How To Best Care For Your Patients When They Are Not Physically In Front Of You. It shares about the challenges and success of telehealth therapy. The article also sheds light on how online video therapy is here to stay and how it can be used to help so many people.

Practicing telehealth online video counseling has led to the opportunity to help so many people across the state of New Jersey and not just in the small town of Sewell, NJ where I practice. It has enabled homebound, immobile, health concerned, lack of transportation access, and other patients the convenience of having therapy in a space they feel comfortable without the worry of travel. Most of all in the midst of the pandemic, patients were able to maintain counseling services to care for their mental and emotional health.
